What you’ll be doing:

You'll work as part of a wider support team within one of dedicated registered care homes or supported living schemes or part of our community team. Your main duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Effectively working as a team to support adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex/ill health, and behaviours that may challenge
  • Supporting and assisting with all aspects of individual care to maintain optimum health and wellbeing, including: personal care, administering medication, mobility, and supporting individuals to live the life they desire
  • Enabling access to opportunities which enhance a positive sense of purpose
  • Planning, implementing and delivering life and support plans suited to individual needs and outcomes
  • Working in accordance with regulations/requirements of Care Quality Commission and all contracting partners
  • Effectively working as a team to support adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex/ill health, and challenging behaviours that may challenge

What we need from you:

We’d like someone with a creative, flexible and sensitive approach to support work. Experience working with people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential. In addition to this, we’re looking for someone who’s:

  • Highly self-motivated
  • Good communicator
  • Mature attitude with a good sense of humour
  • Able to work independently or as part of team
  • Full induction and Care Certificate and all core training as required
